The aged and crumbling account of Fondalus as scribed by Tharakimeios may be the only surviving clue as to the fate of Colonel Rosentos's expedition and perhaps the resting place of the Essence-Orb of the Black Sage, which he is rumoured to have sought.
Now that scroll, like a map to hidden riches, lies in the hands of a small group. Did Rosentos find fabulous treasure or die in dark places? Did he betray his men to an evil sorcerer or did they share in his good fortune? Does the Essence-Orb reveal all knowledge that is asked of it, no matter how secret, or does it tell nothing but lies that lead to despair? The answers lie in wait for those willing to venture into the mists that shroud them.
The Treasure of the Hideous One is a classic Dungeons and Dragon wilderness adventure of exploration and adventure in which the player characters follow a century old tale in search of wondrous treasure.
Dawn's light reached through the window to shine on a veiled man. Below his tower window, the city folk slowly awoke eagerly anticipating the upcoming of Festival of Lucor. "Today is the day," he said to himself smiling, looking down at them. "The day I finally bring my plan into action!"
On a dusty road a few miles outside the city, a small group roused itself. With little ado, they packed their camp and set out on the road once more. The excitement tingled among them, for today they would reach the city of Specularum — the home of their new fortunes or maybe their ignominious fall!
The Veiled Society is a classic Dungeons and Dragon city adventure of action and mystery in which the player characters become involved in the power struggles of the city.
Plunge into the baffling and bloody fight for power and glory in the back alleys and warrens of Black Diamond, and the fiefs and keeps beyond. You, a seasoned adventurer, walk into the World Gate that appeared suddenly and mysteriously, leading to an unknown land where odd things happen and some strangers are stranger than others. Evil wizards, mad clerics and mafia bosses should be avoided if you are smart. Strong drink and lucrative propositions should be ignored if you are wise. But you are not.
Roleplaying counts, alignment matters, survival is optional and you may be roaming on another deity's network.
The setting - Contra World - was created in the AD&D 1e era, and modified with elements from 1.5e, 2e and BRP sci-fi variants, with a dash of flavouring from other systems (Champions, anyone?). After a jarring side trip into 5e, it's come home to OSRIC.
OSRIC – Old School Reference and Index Compilation – is an open-source resurrection of AD&D 1e. It's faithful to the original, with a few modifications most of us were making back in the day anyway. But if you just gotta account for the relative effectiveness of a Bohemian Ear-Spoon against banded mail vs. a Bec de Corbin, references will be available. Full rules can be downloaded for free at:

Fifth level, re-rolled characters provided. Or bring your own fifth level AD&D 1e/OSRIC character.
On cold misten hills, beast witsome and fell
In holdings and havens the vassals adwell
Seers know the all, the start and the end
Myths hushed aloud to which truth must abend
You are Knights united by a common Oath:
You may have dreams of glory, but every Knight must accept the risk of death. The Seers who knighted you have deemed that you travel as a Company. While some of you may rest, roam, or die, your collective journey will be as one.
This is an old school hexcrawl scenario in which a group of Knights travel to a far-off island realm under the guidance of the Seers to seek the truth of the Myth that resides there. The scenario will be randomly filled out based on a few key choices by the players at the start of the session.
2024 is the 50th anniversary year of Dungeons & Dragons, so I'm running the game that gave me my first taste of role-playing games: Basic D&D, 1981, right out of the pink box.
A dungeon has been discovered beneath the keep's guild house. There's treasure in there! Also monsters and traps and who knows what else. You're a party of brand-new 1st level adventurers, and you're at the entrance to the dungeon. Good luck.
(You can bring along your own character if you like, or make one when you arrive!)
(I have some personal rules changes and additions, that's how you do it old school style. But they're pretty minor. Moldvay, Morgue's Way.)
Once a powerful proponent of Law, the Archmage Tazimack the Red was eventually driven mad by a fear of mortality. As he slipped into insanity his retirement home began to reflect the chaotic bent of his mind.
Long after Tazimack's unnaturally animated body has disintegrated, his manor house remains as a shadow cast by a twisted intellect.
Can the characters bring order to this chaos?
This fast paced game of exploration, action and humour combines old school, early D&D style gaming with a modern, rules lite RPG sensibility. Use your cunning and daring to outwit the deadly Shadowbrook Manor to claim your treasure.
Gateway, a thriving port city of canals and commercial ventures, has of late been rocked with riots and uprisings after word of the emperor’s death spread. Many members of the city’s elite stand to gain much from the unrest and have lent aid to the agitators and rabble-rousers. This chaos shrouds the whispers that dark powers hidden in the city are on the move. Will the descendants of the men of Gog rise again?
Shadow of the Demon Lord is a dark fantasy RPG of horror and madness by Rob Schwalb, a designer on WFRP2e, D&D5e, A Song of Ice and Fire RPG and the Black Company RPG. Fans of Joe Abercrombie's First Law series will especially enjoy this scenario. The characters are a band of hard-bitten troubleshooters, living in a world darkened by the Demon Lord, risking corruption, madness, and death. Crimes will be solved, depravity faced, and nightmares overcome.
Survival in the world under the shadow of the Demon Lord is difficult, not just for risk-taking adventurers, but for ordinary folk faced daily with threats of starvation, illness, and madness. What measures would such folk be willing to take to ensure the survival, even prosperity, of an entire community? And who would deny them, saving them from the memories that will haunt them in the small hours of the night?
This scenario is designed as a demonstration of the Shadow of the Demon Lord, a dark fantasy RPG of horror and madness. It is well suited for those new to roleplaying and/or the RPG. The players will have the opportunity to generate their own characters - would-be heroes risking corruption, madness, and death. Dilemmas will be explored, depravity faced, and nightmares overcome.
The Inquisiton has found the crusader citadel of Martyr’s Point to have fallen to the profane. Rumours of the ancient god-monster, Okka the Eater, spread as quickly as the plague that shares it's name. But the truth eludes those seeking confessions, despite endless nights of torture, and an elite team of witchhunters is called to root out evil and decide where the wrongness lies.
