As turmoil threatens Syria, a merchant vessel docks at Seleucia Pereia bearing travelers from Rome chasing a rumour of an ancient figurine. In quake-ravaged Antioch, a troubled sailor is murdered in mysterious fashion. Is the empire as doomed as people say, and can you do anything about it?
